Many of us dream about old-school muscle meeting new-school performance. For those of you interested in this combination, eBay may have a deal for you. Upon perusing the eBay Motors section, we ran across a ’70 Chevelle worthy of being called an ultimate pro-touring classic. This car is cherry from the new paint job to the refurbished interior. The best part about this car? It comes built with a 454 LS6 engine under the hood with only 1,023 miles on it.
The Chevelle is being offered by Texas Classic Cars of Dallas. The company is advertising it as “a no-expense spared, body off” restoration. From the list of upgrades and photos provided, we’d agree that no expense was spared. The company even boasts that the car is soon to be featured on the cover of a major automotive magazine but failed to disclose which one.
The car is wrapped in Tuxedo black paint with ghost SS stripes down the functional cowl hood. The LS6 was built by the Morgan & Son company and includes a forged steel camshaft, Speed Pro Hyper Pistons, Holley four-barrel carburetor and high performance intake.
Pro Comp aluminum heads and Comp Ultra Gold roller rocker arms top off all the goodies under the hood. A custom built Turbo 400 transmission and 2400 stall Boss Hog converter is used to put the power to the pavement.
We will warn you, however, you’ll have to meet a reserve before having the chance to add this beauty to your garage. As of last Wednesday night, 12 bids of up to $45,000 had yet to reach the required reserve.
