While we love our American automotive companies here in the states, they are not just limited to North America. In fact, Chevrolet is making a name for themselves all over the world. With their centennial anniversary well underway, increasing sales in foreign markets are making Chevy a well-known name in even the most unlikely places- like their latest new market, Korea. Thanks to Chevrolet in the News for the latest on this domestic market.
Over the last six months, Chevrolet sales in Korea have increased 27 percent. With new initiatives and markets paying off, Korean consumers are becoming more comfortable with the American brand. Many Korean consumers even say they are likely to consider buying a Chevy when they need to purchase their next car, according to Chevrolet in the News.
The sales in Korea have exceeded expectations, GM Korea Vice President of Sales, Marketing and Aftersales, Ankush Arora, told Chevrolet in the News. He noted that the impressive sales have gone hand and hand with Chevrolet’s aggressive launch of six models in the Korean market as well as the introduction of innovative aftersales programs.
With the new Malibu being introduced in Korea before any other market, sales in foreign markets are expected to grow while Chevrolet builds an even bigger customer base. We’re excited to see Chevrolet becoming popular in more and more markets and look forward to seeing the company’s sales in foreign markets continue to increase.
