Are you ready to have the weekend of a lifetime? The Carlisle Chevrolet Nationals is returning to the fairgrounds in Carlisle, Pennsylvania in 2018, and the folks at Carlisle Events plan to deliver even more excitement than last year!
The event is continuing to grow, thanks to you, the participants and spectators alike. We previously announced some of what will be going on, but we wanted to do a follow up and let you know that there has been more excitement added to the schedule.

Honor 100 Years Of The Chevy Truck
Don’t miss the 2018 Carlisle Chevrolet Nationals as they honor 100 years of Chevrolet Trucks. In, 1918, Chevrolet introduced the Four-Ninety truck to the masses after using them internally for a couple of years. Priced at $595, the truck provided the market an economic light-delivery truck that many small businesses started picking up after World War I. This historic milestone will be celebrated at the Carlisle Chevrolet Nationals with an indoor display in Building T. If you have a truck you would like considered for the display, apply today.
It’s been 20 years since the LS engine made its debut. This is one of the most popular engine platforms in the history of the brand after hitting the market in 1997. Join the fun as everyone in attendance will celebrate what is to become a unique celebration as we honor this awesome series of engines! One such feature will be in Building T with an LS-Engine Invitational Display.
Celebrate 60 Years Of The Impala
The Chevrolet Nationals will celebrate 60 years of one of Chevrolet’s best-selling models – the Chevy Impala! Building T will feature this historic model, and there will also be Impala seminars and builds at the event that will be sure to steal your attention.
The Second-Gen Chevelle Takes Center Stage
If you’re a fan of the second-gen Chevelle, join the celebration of one of Chevrolet’s most popular mid-size cars. With its distinctive body, tapered front fenders, and rounded beltline, these cars were a unique deviation from its predecessor. The SS 396 Chevelles of the second-generation would come to be known as some of the most sought-after muscle cars of today.
The Chevrolet Nationals will have a great display of second-gen Chevelles located in Building T, and you should be able to find at least one unique Chevelle that will catch your eye. There will also be Chevelle-specific activities and awards throughout the weekend, including a seminar or two. Have a Chevelle and want to be part of the celebration? Stacey David has decades of experience working in restoration and hot rod shops, and over 20 years on national television on two hit TV shows. Stacey has been showing people how to build cool cars and trucks for a long time. His mechanical abilities and fabrication skills have made him one of the most trusted and respected custom car builders in the world today. Well known for building wild, trend-setting custom vehicles like Copperhead, The V8 Interceptor, and Sgt. Rock, Stacey David has inspired legions of gear-heads all across the nation to “get out there and build something.”
He will be in attendance on Friday and Saturday of the Chevrolet Nationals, and will be located in Building T during for autograph sessions. He will also do a Q&A session on Friday.
Bruce Larson will again host Nitrofest with his USA-1 funny car. Bruce also welcomes Rocky Roxlau’s Time Bomb Vega, which is a perfect complement to the Vega roundup that will be taking place on the National Parts Depot showfield.
Bruce’s tent will be located close to the main stage and he will be doing a series of startups during the Friday and Saturday show hours. An even cooler aspect of Bruce’s demonstrations will be that several lucky audience members could be chosen to sit in the cars as they are fired up. Don’t miss your chance to see, hear and smell the Nitro while Bruce disturbs the peace at the Chevrolet Nationals!
Prepare to be sucked back into your seat as the UMI Performance team members take you on one wild ride! UMI will be offering free Autocross ride-alongs throughout the weekend, and these rides are open to anyone attending the Chevrolet Nationals. Just visit the UMI tent in the North field, sign the waiver, and then buckle up for the ride of a lifetime. UMI offers complete suspension performance packages for virtually every GM vehicle, and they want to show you just what their cars can do!

Home to a diverse group of General Motors vehicles, the Chevrolet Nationals will have everything from vintage muscle to the modern fifth-generation Camaro. This is the place to be from June 22 through 24. Organized by year, make, and model, the National Parts Depot show field is home to a wide array of classic and modern General Motors products. Buckle up for autocross action, indoor displays of concept vehicles, customs, performance and historic vehicles, industry guests, activities for the kids, and special prizes throughout the weekend. You will also find an unbelievable variety of vendors, an all-General Motors car corral, and the Manufacturers Midway vending area.
