I know many of you might not be thinking about the 2019 car show season yet, but now is the perfect time to make plans for a great year. In fact, we just heard from the folks at the Carlisle Chevrolet Nationals that they have several themes planned for the weekend. It’s sure be the party of the year.
Summer Of Cool
The 1969 car models were the epitome of factory hot rodding, and General Motors offered everything from the Camaro RS/SS to the Pontiac Firebird, GTO Judge, Chevrolet Chevelle and Olds 442, to the Buick GSX. It was a stellar year for awesome cars from GM.
In 2019, the folks at Carlisle want their yearly party to reflect the excitement of 1969. To do that, the party will celebrate the 50th birthday of those cars! The Building T showcase will feature the cars built during this banner year, and you can continuously get updates about all the features of the event by checking the Chevy Nationals website. Apply today for your spot inside the building, or simply register your car for the show field using the links below! You can even apply today for consideration to have your car feature in the invitational display.
The Elco Gets Some Respect
Join the festivities at Carlisle as they celebrate Chevrolet’s famous coupe utility vehicle. It all started in 1959, when the Chevrolet division started producing an all new two-door station-wagon-based pickup truck. The integrated cab and cargo bed was brought about as a response to Ford’s Ranchero. The El Camino had a long run, and the first-generation spanned from 1959 to 1960, using the B-body platform. Then, after a three-year hiatus, returned in 1964, and was based on the A-body platform until 1981. El Camino production ended in 1987, and at that point, was using the popular G-body platform.
At the 2019 Chevrolet Nationals, the Carlisle crew wants to deliver a great display of El Caminos of all generations. The utility hauler will be part of the featured display inside Building T and will also be featured near the stage. More details will come as we get closer to the event, and we can’t wait to see you here! Apply today for invitational consideration or register for the event by clicking here.
Blazer Bash
From the family-sized K5 Blazer to the smaller S-10 Blazer, this year’s Chevrolet Nationals will celebrate the 50th birthday of the Chevy Blazer! Enthusiasts can see everything Blazer related, old to new, custom to stock and everything in between. Join the excitement as they showcase the heritage! At the Chevrolet Nationals in 2019, the Carlisle crew wants to deliver a great display of Blazers of all generations. More details will come as we get closer to the event, and we can’t wait.
