The part of the Venn diagram where “Car Guy” and “Adult Lego Enthusiast” overlap is vast; both hobbies require an understanding of the physical world and a love of working with your hands, and both can consume an arbitrary amount of your disposable income if you let them. It’s no surprise, then, that Lego created its Speed Champions line of Minifig-scale cars and play sets.
The existing line is dominated by European exotics like the LaFerrari, McLaren P1, and 918 Spyder, but enterprising ALE’s have sleuthed out the upcoming 2016 additions to the lineup even though they haven’t officially been announced to the public, and there’s good news for domestic car fans.
First on the list is set number 75870 — Chevrolet Corvette Z06, and there’s also set number 75874 — Chevrolet Camaro Drag Race. Based on the current Speed Champions sets, we’re going to estimate a street price of just under 15 bucks for the Corvette, and somewhere around $50 for the Camaro set, which includes a 5th Gen and a supercharged 1st Gen plus a drag race starting line and flagger Minifig.
Here’s the complete 2016 Lego Speed Champions lineup: (Click the links to see images of the sets)

We don’t have a release date for these sets yet, but rest assured that as soon as they’re available, we’ll get our hands on them and start building.
