The Woodward Dream Cruise is automotive mecca for many people, drawing tens of thousands of cars and people to the country’s largest one-day car show. You’ll see just about everything, old and new, at the Woodward Dream Cruise, including new concepts and cars you may have never even heard of.
Then there are the cars you may have heard of in passing, but never thought you’d actually see. Cars like this custom chrome 2011 Camaro, which the Berkley Patch got the inside scoop on. We’ve seen this car before, and now that we know it’s for sale, it has us scheming of ways to buy it.
Not really. Co-creator Myles Ross claims this chrome Camaro, riding on 32-inch rims and sporting over 48 speakers, is a “rolling piece of art”. But if you ask us, this car is more of a tribute to America’s terrible lust of excess and over-the-top spending than it is a mantle fixture. Who needs five televisions, and why would you waste your time adding a supercharger and doubling the horsepower for a car that will never drag race?
The cost of this chrome Camaro? $268,000, though it’s currently “on sale” for only $120,000. It’s the kind of car that only appeals to a certain kind of buyer, and to be honest this Camaro seems like it belongs in a rap video or a parody kit. It is excess gone wrong, but as the old saying goes, to each their own. But who would want to own this?
