There are times when a car pops up for auction that just makes you stop scrolling. That’s exactly the case with this 1967 Chevrolet Chevy II hitting the block in Dallas this Friday. It looks like a clean, classic street machine, but what’s hiding under that blue paint is pure, unadulterated mayhem.

Monster LSX Power
Forget about finding some wheezy small-block under the hood. Someone went all-out here, stuffing a massive 440-cubic-inch LSX V8 between the fenders. Then, just to make sure nobody mistook it for slow, they bolted a big Magnuson supercharger on top, controlled by Holley EFI. How much power does that make? Try 1,160 horses and 905 lb-ft of torque on the dyno.

Built To Handle That Power
Making four-digit power is cool, but it’s useless if the rest of the car folds like a cheap suit. Thankfully, this build followed through. It’s got a built 4L80 automatic transmission fitted with a transbrake for hard launches. Out back, the car’s been mini-tubbed to swallow some fat Mickey Thompson rubber, which frames a sturdy Ford 9-inch rearend with 3.73 gears. The whole front end and suspension setup is from Smith Racecraft, so this classic 1967 Chevrolet Chevy II actually has a chassis capable of handling all that boosted LSX power without twisting itself into a pretzel.

Looks To Match
The car definitely has the right pro-street vibe going on. The deep blue paint looks great inside and out, and the custom cowl hood is a necessity with that big blower underneath. It sits right on those lightweight five-spoke wheels, giving it that classic drag-ready stance. Tinted glass just adds to the mean look. It’s clean, simple, and all business.

Crossing The Block This Friday
If you’ve dreamed of owning a ridiculously fast classic but don’t want to spend years building it, this recently finished Chevy II is calling your name. It’s hitting the Mecum Dallas/Fort Worth auction as Lot F312 this Friday, October 31. Someone already did all the hard work; now all you have to do is show up, bid, and try not to get arrested on the drive home.
