Spectre Performance has been around for 30 years, and in order to get under the hood of more than just modern cars they have had to manufacture more than a round air cleaner. They’ve created a line of cold air intakes that fit nearly any application under almost any hood.

One of the cars they brought to the SEMA Show this year was a 1930 Ford Model A street rod with the – dare we say it – SBC for motivation. The car wasn’t brought to show the engine swap, however, but to show that Spectre is more than just air filters.

Adorning the SBC are a set of their valve covers, wire loom dividers, and other engine dress up components. But adding a little performance to the engine is a cold air intake that will help gain power as the air temperature drops. The cold air intakes also allow routing the air tubing to different areas under the hood away from heat sources and where cold air can enter the engine bay.

We hear the car before us found a new home before the end of the week, and was going to be shipped out half-way around the globe to Australia. The Ford street rod was a custom build to highlight what Spectre Performance can do to brighten up nearly any engine compartment.
