The new TCI Automotive TCU 2.0 takes a step up from their popular previously available EZ TCU. This transmission control unit includes T-Com 2.0 laptop software and features their new Dual Tune Technology.
“This TCU 2.0 is laptop tunable and fully programmable,” Trent Goodwin says. “It fits a large variety of the most common applications from Fords to late-model Hemis to virtually any electronically-controlled transmission.”
Dual Tune Technology allows the driver to create two different shift modes , switching back and forth between them with ease. Go for a drive in your daily car, then make the change to a towing or racing mode as needed for the day’s activities.
“You’ll be able to quickly go in and do some advanced turning and dial-in late model transmissions, which is becoming somewhat prevalent in some racing series,” Goodwin says. “Honestly, everything from all-out drag cars to guys running late model Camaros or Challengers will be able to use this controller. The TCI 2.0 gives you the capability to make limitless adjustments to your shift points as well as line pressure.”
Drivers receive the benefit of the ultimate performance possible. The TCU 2.0 works with a multitude of automatic electronic transmissions, ranging from GM 4L60E, 4L65, 4L70E, 4L80E, 4L85E, 4T65E, and 4T80E. Ford products include AODE, 4R70W, E4OD, 4R100, 5455E. It also works with the TCI 4x Four-speed and 6x Six-Speed. It is compatible with paddle/button shifters.
“The TCI 2.0 will also marry into your EFI recorder,” Goodwin says. “Data-logging is available from all transmission functions. It also can share data with other systems via CAN/BUS capability.”
The TCI 2.0 comes with complete instructions for installation and set-up of the product. The directions go through the process step by step and include troubleshooting suggestions and diagrams of the unit.
