While I was making breakfast and getting ready to head out to the NSRA Southeast Nats this morning, I heard the familiar sound of hard rain hitting the roof of the house. At first, I was afraid it would ruin a great day at a car show. This is however, Florida, and I quickly realized it wouldn’t last long. I did, however, wonder if it might hurt the day’s attendance.
As soon as I got to the Florida State Fairgrounds, my concerns were quelled as I was overjoyed at how many participants snubbed their noses at the early morning annoyance. There were cars everywhere. Even though the Southeast Nats is an all-makes-and-model show for cars made prior to 1990, for fans of all things Chevrolet, the show still had plenty of Bow-Tie iron to satisfy any enthusiast’s tastes.
I’m not sure how many cars were actually in attendance today, but the grassy areas of the fairgrounds did not have many empty parking areas—and this is only Friday! For those of you who were unable to make the show today because your boss doesn’t understand the needs of a car enthusiast, we have compiled a gallery of images showcasing some of the gorgeous Chevys at the show. You really have to come to the event tomorrow and see all the action yourself, and if you happen to see us there, say hi. Check back tomorrow, as we give you guys an inside look at the happenings on Saturday.
