When considering buying a new vehicle, many factors come into play. These would include the manufacture(Chevy of course!), styling on the car, purpose of the car, MPG, and a host of other considerations.
One important factor that many people over look is the cost to own. As reported from GM Authority, this includes factors such as: depreciation, maintenance fees, insurance, registration, and fuel costs. These valuations are done over a five year period to ensure good results. All of these are factors that will effect your new ride post-purchase. Sure you may have one awesome Chevy sitting in the driveway, but what’s the point if you can’t afford to drive it?

Lucky for us, Chevy won the Cost To Own Award from Kelly Blue Book with four different models. Those models include the Spark, Spark EV, Impala and Camaro SS.
The Spark is Chevrolet’s smallest car in their entire line up. This is a subcompact car that was also named a Top Ten Coolest Car under $18,000 by Kelly Blue Book. The car is equipped with a 1.2L inline 4-cylinder engine. The Spark EV, is the 100% electric version of the car.
We are happy to see our beloved Camaro SS made the list. This shows you that this is a great car to own and won’t cost you a fortune to keep. The Impala also made the list, which is great for those of us with a family or in the mid-size sedan market.
This list is one of the more important things to consider when buying a car. If you have a car you love but constantly have to fix it, you will soon find yourself selling it. Or if the car costs a fortune to insure, you might not be able to afford the car. The list helps you ensure that you will be happy with your new purchase.
