
This is the fifth year that Chevrolet will be the presenting sponsor for the Woodward Dream Cruise. While officially, this is the largest single-day event for car enthusiasts in the world, the unofficial events go on for days. Chevrolet is planning on having displays in several key locations along the famous avenue. The displays will run the gamut from electric and hybrid vehicles, to Chevrolet Performance models.
On Tuesday, August 11th, Volt owners and guests will be able to participate in the Volt Silent Cruise. Interested parties will meet at 6:00 p.m., at the Kingsley Inn in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan. They will then depart for their silent cruise down Woodward at 7:00 p.m.
The annual Design on Woodward car show will be hosted by GM Design on Wednesday, from 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. This event will be held at the Northwood Plaza on the corner of Woodward and 13 Mile Road. More than 100 personal vehicles that are owned by members of the GM design team will be featured at this event.
The Chevrolet Performance display will be run for three days, August 13th and 14th, from 10 a.m. tuntil 9:00 p.m., and all day on the 15th. Gm performance vehicles the endured Power Tour will be featured here. There will also be a selection of Chevrolet Performance parts and accessories on display, as well as an IndyCar vehicle. Promoter and ambassador of multiple forms of American Auto Racing, Linda Vaughn will be there signing autographs all three days.

On the official day of the Cruise, the 15th, Chevrolet’s display at the junction of Woodward and Old Woodward in Birmingham, Michigan will be open from 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. This display will include the redesigned 2016 Camaro coupe and convertible. Attendees will also get a first look at the 2016 Volt which boasts the all-new second generation Voltec electric propulsion system that according to EPA testing, delivers almost a 40-percent improvement over the previous Volt. There will also be a special display celebrating the 60th Anniversary of the iconic 1955 Bel Air, with a coupes and convertibles on display.
For Camaro lovers, there will also be a display at the Camaro Corral. This event will take place at the Pleasant Ridge City Hall, located at 23925 Woodward Ave. The Camaro Corral will start at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday.
