This 1977 Chevy Nova, originally equipped with a modest 250ci inline-six, is about to receive a heart transplant that breaks from the usual small-block 350 formula. Instead, we’re building a high-revving 327 “Mighty Mouse” engine that promises to keep making power past 6,000 rpm.
With modern aluminum heads, an aggressive roller cam setup, and full tubular suspension, we’re creating a street machine that honors the golden age of stoplight-to-stoplight racing while pushing the boundaries of what these classic Novas can do. The best part? We’re bringing you along for every step of the build, from the engine assembly to the first time we fire it up, and beyond.
