This is going to be a big one, and with plenty of Chevy muscle and chrome to go around! Original Parts Group Inc. (OPGI) is hosting its first all-Chevy show at the company headquarters in Seal Beach, California, on July 14. There will be food, prizes, and plenty of cool classics to go around! It’s coming up quick, so make plans to get there!
We talked to Natallie Loukas of OPGI, and got some more information about the show. The more we learned, the more we want to go! They’ve had an annual shows before, but after taking two years off, the dedicated staff are coming back with a bang.
OPGI is limiting this event to cars for which they carry parts. That means pre-1983 Chevelles, Malibus, El Caminos, and Corvairs. “Corvair is the newest catalog we’re launching.” Natallie continued, “We’re hoping to have that out before the end of the year.” With that lineup, you can expect a lot of really cool cars.

In addition to the cars, there will be food trucks, drawings for great prizes, a live DJ, and plenty of trophies given out during the award ceremony. “So far, we have almost 70 vehicles registered, and we’re hoping to get 150. A portion of the proceeds will go to the Wounded Warriors Project and the Community Family Guidance Centers,” Natallie explained. You can still register online or the day of the event, if space is available. Each registration comes with a free event t-shirt and a goody bag!
One of the great prizes to be given away is a 295-horsepower, 350 cubic-inch small-block Chevy engine that will be part of a drawing at this year’s show. If that wasn’t enough reason to go, there are many more prizes to be won. “Autometer is donating a three-gauge cluster, Hemmings is giving a one-year subscription to Muscle Machine, and there will be some stuff from American Autowire. Cruisin’ for a Cure donated three free entries into their show,” Natallie said. There are many more great prizes to be given away.

With vendors, prizes, trophies, and of course, the awesome Chevys that’ll be attending the show, this is set to be a really fun day. If you’re in the area, this is one that you definitely should not miss! If you find yourself at the show, take some pictures and send them to us, we’d love to see them!
