Every enthusiast has been frustrated with header installation at one time or another. From the rookie throwing in a set of ill-conceived bargain headers on his first hot rod to the guy with 40 or more years of experience and expensive parts, this can be one of the most aggravating endeavors. Those days may be in the past thanks to Lemons Headers Adjustable Motor Mount Stands.

Let’s face it: Long-tube headers are often trying to occupy a space where the factory engineers never considered putting them. The tubes could be trying to go around steering and/or driveline components, or a myriad of other obstacles. Lemons Headers Adjustable Motor Mount Stands are heavy-duty components that let you precisely set the engine position and angle — even from side to side — in order to make your header fitment a bunch easier.
Called “Jimmy Mounts” after the employee who conceived them, the parts are rated for applications up to and beyond 1,800 horsepower. The slotted bases and jack-screw center post are designed to give you controlled movement front to rear, side to side, and up and down, allowing you to adjust for driveline angle, center the engine in the bay, and create the clearance you need.
“Jimmy has been racing for 60 years and has built all his own race cars. He came to me with the idea of multi functional adjustable motor mounts and it was clear that he’d thought it through from a racers and builders point of view,” said Chuck MacDougal of Lemons Headers.
Fore-and-aft adjustment is up to 1-inch via the slotted base, as is the side-to-side adjustment. Vertically, they afford you 1.5-inches of movement.

All this movement should prevent you from having to cut up parts of the car, something every experienced hot rodder’s had to do at one time or another. Another benefit is once everything is bolted down, it is designed to stay in one place. You can also improve weight distribution and chassis response by placing the engine exactly where you want it.
The mount stands are welded, laser-cut steel bases with Lemons Yellow powder coat. They also come supplied with Grade 8 or better hardware for the final installation and are compatible with common clamshell-style engine mounts.
