One could say that America has been built on great rivalries. The New York Yankees versus the Boston Red Sox. Thomas Edison against Nikolai Tesla. Democrats versus Republicans.

In the American car community, there is no rivalry as legendary as Mustang and Camaro. Along with the challenger, these cars are the last remnants of a time long past, and it’s a rivalry that’s unlikely to end in our lifetime.

So while we are sure this video is going to rile up Mustang fans, it’s a brief but neat video featuring a 930 horsepower ’69 Camaro SS “Mustang Eater” from YouTube user “540Merlin.”

Judging from the video, the actual owner of this crazy Camaro is named Dave, and he has plenty of other awesome videos up from burnouts. The 540 Merlin moniker doesn’t refer to some ancient wizard either, but rather the magical big block engine under the hood of this beast.

It would appear at the very least one of the modifications is nitrous injection, but the sound of this beastly big block really gets our mouth watering.

It would appear that Dave has more than just this classic Mustang-eating Camaro as well. A 700 horsepower Corvette, hot rods, and a stolen SS/RS Camaro have been in his stable at different times. So he is definitely a Bowtie guy. And while he calls his Camaro the “Mustang Eater,” we can’t actually find any videos versus some Mustangs. We’re sure a few Ford guys would be happy to take him up on the challenge. For now though, enjoy some burnouts and a very awesome sounding big block.
