Founded in 1911, in the heart of America’s automotive city, Detroit, Chevrolet is celebrating their 100-year anniversary this year. From classics and muscle cars to trucks and family vehicles, Chevrolet has prided itself on its reliable automotives and superior customer service for a whole century. To celebrate their milestone anniversary, Chevrolet is pairing with Pandora to bring users a collection of songs that mention the iconic Chevy brand.
The top one hundred songs that mention the brand will be played for the 100-year anniversary of Chevy on a Pandora station especially dedicated for the occasion. While Pandora has over 600 songs that mention Chevrolet, Chevy or a Chevrolet model somewhere in them, only 100 were chosen-one for each year of the company’s existence.
Some of the songs that were chosen to celebrate Chevy’s anniversary are obvious; such as “Little Red Corvette” by Prince, “Chevrolet” by ZZ Top and “Go Lil’ Camaro Go” by The Ramones. Others are not so obvious and require selective hearing to pick out the Chevrolet references; such as “ Water” by The Who and “Neutron Dance” by The Pointer Sisters. It is no surprise that the song list also includes songs like “Easy Rider” by Charlie Daniels and “Crocodile Rock” by Elton John.
In order to access this station dedicated to playing the top 100 Chevrolet songs, you must be a Pandora user. Users of the service can access the Chevrolet channel at www.Pandora.com/chevy100. If you’ve not signed up for Pandora, the free internet radio service, visit Pandora’s website to start your subscription.
