Normally we keep an eye out for any vintage Chevy car involved in a wild ride, but this video was too good to pass up.
We found video footage on YouTube of a roadway in Bulgaria that goes through a long tunnel. The tunnel is made of concrete and very porous so when it’s damp outside, water migrates through the pores and cracks in the tunnel and onto the road surface.
The Republic of Bulgaria is in Southeast Europe near Turkey and Greece. Temperatures in the area are bitter cold in the winter, so when the water gets on the road and the cold air blows through the tunnel, the water becomes ice.
The video clearly shows how slippery and hilarious ice can be in a tunnel. The video also shows an interesting tid-bit that we were unaware of; Bulgarians drive on the right side of the road. While most of the world has taken to driving on the left, it’s good to see a former Soviet Republic Eastern Bloc Country adopt the United States rules of the road.
We’ve never understood why drivers think that hitting the brakes hard when you’re on ice is a good thing.
Watch the video of the wildest rides through the most evil tunnel in the world:
From the comments left on YouTube concerning the video, the bus driver was clearly the favorite due to his herculean effort to keep the extended bus from flipping over. Other comments raved about the last car pictured in the video experiencing an orgasmic end to it’s wild ride.
You won’t hear us complain about the tunnels in our 50 states ever again.
