Video: Ride Along as Blown Chevy 1500 Reaches 120mph on Rural Road

We’ve all let our cars loose on a back road when no one was around at some point in our lives. Whether you’ve just barely gotten on the gas, or taken your car well past posted speed limits, the adrenaline rush that results from exerting noticeable power and speed on the open road can be enough to get anyone hooked.  This YouTube video is perfect for anyone looking to relive that thrill, be it from a few weeks or a few decades ago, can ride along as a powerful ’86 Chevy 1500 hits 120mph on a virtually empty road.

While we don’t condone driving like this, the driver and his passenger unleash the beast under the hood on a back road straightaway. Traditionally lifted for mudding or crazy 4X4 looks, this 1500 is different. The truck is equipped with a blown 572cui crate engine. Adding to the powerful engine is a supercharger, which can be heard distinctly in the video as the driver gets on it.

As the truck shoots to 120mph, the scenery outside seems to just melt away. Upon approaching another motorist, the truck driver is forced to slow his antics. The passenger shows the updated dashboard which flashes 93 at the time. When the other driver turns off, the truck’s passenger prepares himself for yet another brush with speed.
