With all the project cars we are currently working on at powerTV, we like to see what projects other people are doing. Whether individually owned or being built as company projects, we’ve seen some impressive rides coming along nicely, including a ’68 Camaro SS recently pictured on Pro-Touring.com.

The car has been nicknamed “Reloaded” by the good people over at V8TV. After sitting in a garage completely dismantled for 24 years, the V8TV crew set out to get the Camaro built for this year’s SEMA Show. With only a few months to get the car ready, the crew busted tail, doing metal repair, body work and paint on the car, as well as fitting it with a 490cui Chevy big-block stroker engine. Wanting the car to handle as good as she looks, they also fit the Camaro with a Detroit Speed Quadra-Link suspension and Baer Brakes.

V8TV did an amazing job creating their 1968 Reloaded Camaro
If any of you followed V8TV’s video updates on the car prior to the show, you know that the Camaro was still being worked on just days before its SEMA Show appearance. Luckily, perseverance paid off for the V8TV crew and Reloaded made it to SEMA in tip-top shape.

Even better than taking the car to SEMA for the crew, however, was being able to take it out to the desert afterwards and run it in the Optima Ultimate Street Car Challenge. While they didn’t post official results for their car on Pro-Touring.com, they did post up some really good pictures of Reloaded once it was off the trailer at the event. What a great finish to the substantial amount of work that went into the Camaro in such a short amount of time.

With such an amazing build, we look forward to seeing V8TV’s official results from the Optima Street Car Challenge once they are announced.
