What a tragic ending to an otherwise out of the ordinary Russian car and piece of American muscle history.
The accident involving a 1966 Malibu happened earlier this month, having been posted about on Russia’s equivalent to Facebook called VK.com on March 5th.
According to the post, the driver of the Malibu was okay after the accident. Unfortunately, we can’t say the same about the car.
Apparently slippery roads led to the collision of the ’66 Malibu into a pole in the Russian city of Engels, which pretty much caved in the entire front end of the car.

Sure, it will take quite a bit of work and even more finagling for parts for the American classic, but being a rarity in the country as well as a classically built Chevy (in seemingly cherry condition prior to the accident), the Malibu may have a chance at another life. Only time will tell.
