There’s sometimes in life where you just need to be content with what you have, and for the owner of this 1957 Chevy, it’s safe to say he wanted more! Meet the truck called Super Shockwave. A “Custom” 1957 Chevy that has not one, but two jet engines attached to the truck.
These engines produce an incredible 25,000 horsepower and push the truck upwards of 300 mph! In one video we found the announcer says that 2 weeks ago the truck pushed 350mph!
We’ve come across a couple of videos featuring the truck that you just have to see. The first is what looks like a NBC Sports special featuring the truck. We aren’t sure what year it is from, but our guess is either the late 80’s or early 90’s. The reporter actually goes for a ride in the truck. It is obvious to see that it is a time before Hans devices and full containment seats.
The second is a video from the drag strip at the Bristol Motor Speedway where it is staging and eventually runs a quarter mile.
Both are great videos, and its safe to say that this is the baddest 57 Chevy we’ve ever seen!
