We’ve always wanted to open a secret door like the one in Stan Mikita’s Donut Shop as seen in the movie, Wayne’s World. Where a group of experts are getting paid to do what they love and what they do best –in the case of Stan Mikita’s, it was a group stunt men “being trained like in James Bond movies.”
While we might not be as lucky as Wayne and Garth to witness such a spectacle first hand, we are lucky enough to get a behind-the-scenes look at Comp Cams’ R&D facility with the help of Brian Reese, VP of Engineering and Business Development for the Comp Performance Group.
He takes you inside a place where only a handful of people work to design some of the world’s best aftermarket components that are available for your high performance ride.
In the video below, Brian shows you all of the different machines in their facility; including an engine dyno, a fuel injection flow bench, airflow bench, chassis dyno, motorcycle dyno, Adcole, and a coordinate measurement machine –just some of the things you would need to design and engineer the best products for today’s high performance engines.
So take a look at the three minute video posted below, and learn just how involved and high-tech developing engine components can really be!
