The car world is full of mixing and matching parts to get the best combination for a specific purpose. We see this all the time in the hot rod scene and now more and more when it comes to muscle cars of every generation. While some purists will continue to scoff at the idea, those that are in this industry for more than just a namesake will continue to appreciate the amazing vehicles this mashing of parts has created, just like this Chevy-powered ’67 Mustang named Helleanor. Named after the famed ’67 Mustang GT500 that starred in the 2000 remake of Gone in 60 Seconds, Helleanor is a true steel-bodied ’67 Fastback that’s been converted to a glorious track-dominating machine. The car features a 388ci small-block Chevy engine backed by twin 82-mm Precision Turbo units, which give the car somewhere in the region of 2,500 hp with 35 psi of boost.

Now if that’s not a reason to love this Mustang/Chevy hybrid, we don’t know what is.

Competing in the Pro Street Class at the October Tulsa Osage Casino Throw Down in T-Town event, Helleanor threw down impressive 7-second quarter mile runs and 4-second eighth mile runs. Something tells us this won’t be the last we see of the incredible Chevy-powered machine!
