If you don’t know LG Motorsports from a hole in the wall, you better do some quick research!
In this video by AWD75 Videos on YouTube, we see a 5th gen Camaro owned by a man calling himself “Mr. TORQ” and it’s a complete monster in terms of being a street car.
Built and tuned by LG Motorsports, the stock bottom end LS3 in Mr. TORQ’s Camaro is equipped with a ProCharger F1A supercharger system running at 12-13 PSI, LG Motorsports’ ported LS3 heads, LPE dual fuel pump kit, ATI balancer, FAST 102mm intake manifold, DSS axles, LG Motorsports’ solid engine and transmission mounts, Injector Dynamics 850cc injectors, Centerforce DYAD clutch, Alky Control’s methanol kit, and much more – everything has been touched besides the factory block, pistons, rods, and crankshaft.
After seeing a lot of videos of this car in action, mostly on the street, we are firm believers in the strength of factory LS3 bottom ends, as long as they’re in the right hands. On a 93-octane pump gas tune with meth, the car makes 846.3 RWHP and 709.2 pound-feet of torque, while a 104-octane race gas tune yields an impressive 928 RWHP and 801.5 pound-feet of torque.
Mr. TORQ’s 5th gen Camaro puts down some pretty impressive numbers, but how long will it last? As long as LG Motorsports is handling the tune, we think this engine will keep working hard for a good while.
