How fast is too fast? Most auto enthusiasts would say that there is no such thing as fast enough. You can never have too much of a good thing, right? So we wouldn’t be surprised to hear that aficionados of huge wheels (or “dubs” as they are often referred to) saying that there is no such thing as too big of a wheel for any car. While one might debate the logic of such an argument, there is apparently enough of a market for large rims for the trend to continue.
But really, even we never expected to see…this. Autoholics came across the CarDomains page of Beefy Chevy Car Club’s 1992 Chevy Camaro riding in 26-inch rims. What can we even say about that?
Well, we could say that they take a lot of pride in their Camaro, and have invested a lot of time and money into it. Indeed, while the rims may offend those of reasonable senses, there are other upgrades that more than offset the huge wheels. For instance, the bored-out Chevy 350 engine with Corvette cylinder heads, a 750 Holley Carb, and an Edelbrock intake. And judging from this video we found online, the owner Brandon actually built this engine himself with help from the Beefy Chevy Car Club, of course. So before you get critical, ask yourself…when is the last time I built an engine?
Anyway, there is room enough in the world for a few Camaros riding on huge rims…especially anything from the 3rd-generation. He clearly enjoys his car, enough to do donuts in his huge rims at the end of the above video. Maybe big rims aren’t your taste. But as long as the owner enjoys the car as much as Beefy Chevy Car Club apparently does, well, who really cares what they do?
