As long as there have been cars, guys have been taking their ladies out in them. What better way to impress a girl, than with some horsepower and tire smoke? This is Keith Urban’s new music video, “Somewhere In My Car.” It’s another country song about a young man and his girlfriend, and their turmoil relationship.
In the video you see the couple kissing, and making sexual advances towards each other. At some point, the relationship ended and the poor lad is hurt. He’s in his room, looking over the pictures of the girl he lost, wishing he still had her. Maybe if he lived in a room that wasn’t bare minus a bed and pictures taped to the wall, she’d still be around? Just a thought.
The important part of the video is that his car is a 1970 Chevelle SS. What he lacks in interior design, he makes up for in having a car. A true gear head that has his priorities in order, if you ask us. We’d much rather have a new set of valve covers than a new end table, or whatever the case may be.
Unfortunately, there’s no indication what’s under the hood of this Super Sport, or if it’s a real one. The car is painted a silver with black racing stripes, a timeless combination. The rest of the video is images of the couple getting steamy in the rain, along with Keith Urban ripping on his guitar. The video isn’t bad by any means, we just wish we could have seen a little more of the Chevelle!
