The 2015 Inaugural Danchuk Tri-Five Nationals was by any measure, a great success. The show brought together nearly 1,800 Tri-Five Chevys, and we don’t know of any other event that pulls that many of Chevrolet’s iconic classics together in one place. But wait, there’s more.

The 2016 Tri-Five Nationals are right around the corner, and promise to be bigger and even better than last year’s event. Just like last year, the 2016 Tri-Five Nationals will once again be held at Beach Bend Raceway in Bowling Green, Kentucky, and is sanctioned by the American Tri-Five Association. Nestled in the heart of Bowling Green, the event truly is a must attend event for any Chevrolet enthusiast.

The small town of Bowling Green, graciously welcomes all hot rodders each time an event comes to their town, and the Tri-Five bash is no exception. This year, you can even attend a birthday party. That’s right, everyone has one, and this year, the ’56 Chevy gets its chance to celebrate.

Although you will need to keep checking the Tri-Five Nationals website for updated information, here is what we currently know is happening. Heacock Classic insurance is excited to one again be the sponsor of the National Tour Groups. These five groups will make their way to the beautiful Beech Bend Raceway from various locations throughout the country. Tour participants will travel together to Bowling Green, where they are eligible to enjoy exclusive tours. Last year, the tours visited Gibson Guitars, Advance Plating, and the National Corvette Museum.

Of course, there will be the huge show and shine, and the Holley-sponsored drag racing will be back, and features ¼-mile racing with wheels-up action, and more tire smoke than a respirator can control. Friday the 12th will be tech inspections, test and tune, and qualifying. Saturday will be eliminations. Head’s-up exhibition and “Fun Runs” will also be made on both Friday and Saturday. The Gasser Gathering is a true flashback, and a definite fan favorite. On Saturday, there will be a special parking area reserved for the guys and gals that built their cars themselves, and let’s not forget about the swap meet.
