While our beloved Chevrolet didn’t make the top of the list, we still have a strong showing. A list from Muscle Garage was complied showing the 50 fastest muscle cars of all time. This list is based off quarter mile times and also gives the gear ratio and date of trial.
The first sign of Chevy touching the list is in the number three spot, with the 1990 ZRI Corvette. Directly behind that car in the number four spot is the 1966 Corvette 427. In the number ten spot we do see the 1970 Chevelle SS 454 LS6, followed by the 1969 COPO Camaro.
Overall Chevy shows up fourteen times on the list, claiming 28% of the list. There is also some of the Chevy cousins such as Pontiac, Buick and Olds on this list.
Most of us judge how fast our cars are based on quarter mile times and that’s a good judgement on speed. However we’d like to see top speed of all these cars as well, since not all of these were built purely for quarter mile action.
