With all of the hoopla of the Corvette C7 dying down (or picking up, depending on your outlook), many enthusiasts are turning their attention back to the Camaro. Namely, they’re looking forward to the changes that will be incorporated in the 2015 6th-Gen.
Apart from it being more powerful, and hopefully, smaller and lighter, we don’t know much more than that. It has been said in the past that it will use the Cadillac ATS platform, and will be built alongside the compact Cadillac. You can probably bet on the SS being a Gen-V LT1-equipped vehicle too.
While we are biting our nails, keeping our ears to the street, and our eyes peeled to the internet, a new website has already launched for potential future 6th-Gen Camaro buyers. Dubbed simply, CamaroG6.com (Camaro Generation 6, not G6 like the Pontiac, you goof), it features all of the currently known Gen 6 news – including renderings, behind the scenes information, and much, much more.
There’s a message forum section, an owner’s garage (currently at zero, obviously), a photo gallery, a store, and a sponsor list – all of the stuff you would typically expect from a car forum.
Whether it was launched on the same day as the new Corvette intentionally or not, we can’t say. But you can be sure we’ll be keeping our eyes on the site for the latest information regarding Chevy’s next pony car.
