There are three basic things required to make an internal combustion engine work: air, fuel, and spark. If you want to increase the level of power the engine generates, you must also increase the amounts of these three important ingredients. RHS (Racing Head Service) is a company that specializes in performance parts that add large volumes of air to a motor, and their new 24 degree Aluminum Intake Manifold for Big Block Chevrolet Engines will bring tons of atmosphere into your engine.
The new BBC intake from RHS was designed from the start to provide huge power and airflow right out of the box. The manifolds use a 4500 Dominator-style carburetor flange. Based on a single-plane design, the intake uses a system of individual runner dividers that will give racers the best throttle response possible, while still cranking out gobs of torque. To help make even more power, the manifolds are also a port-match-fit for current RHS BBC cylinder heads.
RHS has made provisions for these manifolds to be used on both short and tall deck style blocks. To make bolting these onto your motor even easier, RHS implemented a design that uses the standard BBC distributor. The intake also has auxiliary water ports, integral water crossover, and dual-sided distributor ports. RHS even added in ports for the water lines that reside at each corner of the manifold.
To make sure that all of their customers were included, RHS worked with their sister brand, FAST, to make an EFI compatible version of the intake. The EFI model angles the injectors so they point at the valve stem, and feature provisions for sensors.
