We came across this stylish 1950 3100 on www.jalopyjournal.com and though it was up for sale and is now sold, it is still worth a spotlight.

This truck is for the fans of patina, appreciating the beauty of natural weathering, combined with a full restoration of the drivetrain and interior. There is a misconception that keeping the patina on a classic is synonymous with a lazy owner. Wrong. Whether or not you see it as a viable presentation of a classic does not change the fact that in someone else’s eyes it captures the essence of a vehicle’s history and travel through time into the present.

Politics aside, there is a look that the folks who built this were going for and they definitely nailed it.

The motor is a rebuilt 355 ci Small-Block Chevy coupled with a TH350 transmission. All the undercarriage components are mounted onto an S10 chassis. The ’50 has been outfitted with full air ride suspension–“sleeve bags in the rear with custom shock mounts.”

One of the highlights of the truck is its gorgeous interior redone to match the aesthetic of the body. According to the poster the truck has, “new seat and door panels, sound deadener on the roof and firewall, a custom one of a kind steering wheel, new Dolphin gauges, and brand new wing glass and frames.”

The Fulton-style visor and wide whitewall tires seal the deal giving it a truly classic feel. What do you think of the truck?
