PRI 2010: Edelbrock’s New Super Victor Intakes for BBC

Vic Edelbrock and the technical experts over at the Edelbrock Corporation’s [1] racing division seem to always bring out a new and exciting product at the trade shows. This year’s PRI trade show was no different with the unveiling of the Super Victor 632 intake manifold for tall deck 10.2″ Big Block Chevy rectangular port cylinder heads (Part # 2897).

Vic Edelbrock proudly explained that the new intake was designed in-conjunction with Curtis Boggs at Race Flow Development [3](RFD), and featured many of the modifications that racers typically wanted or attempted to do on their own. According to Edelbrock, “We started a whole new casting process in manufacturing these intakes which helped us get deeper plenums and smoother entries and walls.”

Curtis Boggs of RFD also stated, “It’s a total rework of the Super Victor we all know, deigned for big inch engines or high rpm “comp” style small inch builds. The dyno model has shown power gains over any other manifold currently available. This intake has been over a year in the making with the RFD shop sponsored car of Wayne Horton helping with the R&D.”

According to the crew at Edelbrock, these manifolds will be available after Christmas, and pricing will be inline with previous manifolds.
