We’re not sure if this is a result of the current turmoil among the OCC Teutils, but either way, someone is going to buy a Camaro with Hollywood provenance in the next two days. Big daddy, Paul Teeutil, Sr. has parted with this 1969 Camaro and it is selling on eBay at the moment.

With two days remaining in the current listing, and a buy it now price of $51,900, the can has had but one offer. The Camaro is a popular 1969 model, though it was a COPO clone when the granddaddy biker first took possession. These days the Bowtie sports a 1973-vintage 454cui engine with Thunder Series AVS carbs in a dual quad setup,  sitting atop an Edelbrock intake manifold.

Lots of chrome and Endurashine finish sparkle from under the hood, while the business bits also include a Griffin aluminum rad and MSD 6AL ignition box. All this is bolted up to a Tremec TKP600 manual 5-speed box, fitted with an HD clutch and Lakewood scattershield. The built 12-bolt rear axle is augmented with Competition Engineering’s Slide-a-Link bars, so you know this is one tough customer.

Suspension, exhaust and brakes have all been brought up to full touring specs and the gas tank has been replaced with a stainless steel unit that’s not going to be a worry well into the future. In true COPO form, the interior is about as fancy as a monk’s bedroom. You get a pair of bucket seats, a rally steering wheel, three pedals and a Hurst stick shift. That’s about it.

Save the eye-searing orange paint job, the outside of this Camaro is devoid of all useless ornamentation. No stripes, no non-functional scoops, nothing extra to carry around. Riken Raptor tires, in a 225/45ZR17 size wrap the classic, 5-spoke chrome rims in front, while the rear meats are a bit wider, with their 245/40ZR17 spec.

Whatever happens among the family members, this car will retain its heritage. As a collector car, you’re probably better being a rabid OCC fan. Nobody is going to ignore you when you’re riding these four wheels and you’ll surely have some great stories to tell.
