Real Deal Steel Releases Reproduction Hoods For 1956 Chevys

After years of longing for steel reproduction hoods while envying the pieces available to 1955 and 1957 Chevy owners, 1956 Chevy owners can rest easy: New all-steel reproduction hoods are now available through Real Deal Steel.

Offered in stock or shaved/peaked configuration, the hoods are exact reproductions of factory originals, include all struts and braces and are ready to install with stock or aftermarket hinges. Both hoods are made of factory-original-thickness steel and come in black EDP finish.

The hood bird and emblem holes are removed on the custom hood and it is peaked at the hood bird location.

Both styles are in stock and ready to ship.

Real Deal Steel produces all-steel reproduction bodies for American Classics from the Forties, Fifties and Sixties: 1940 Ford five-window coupes, 1955-1957 Chevys, 1967-1969 Camaros and Firebirds and 1966-1967 Chevy II Nova two-door hardtops. Ford bodies are licensed by Ford Motor Company and Chevrolet bodies are licensed by GM.

The bodies are assembled in Sanford, FL, from high quality steel structural components to exact factory specifications on Real Deal Steel’s proprietary assembly fixtures that guarantee exact factory-spec fit every time.

All structural and skin assembly utilizes water-cooled 220V resistance spot welders – the same technology used in much-larger automotive assembly plants. Real Deal Steel generally uses 25 percent more spot welds than original to give the bodies added strength.

In addition to factory-original bodies, Real Deal Steel also offers modification options such as customized firewalls and mini-tub wheel housings, in addition to a wide selection of individual steel panels for American classics.
