Real Deal Steel Releases Full Side Roof/Top Rails For Tri-5 Chevys

New from Real Deal Steel – the full side roof/top rails for Tri-5 Chevys. These factory-matching steel pieces save hours of fabrication time for those restoring Tri-5 Chevys. See more details below.

Official Release:

Chances are pretty good that a Tri-5 Chevy two-door hardtop with a bad case of roof rot along the drip rails means that the underlying structure – the side roof/top rails – is in need of serious repair. That means hours (and dollars) of fabricating sections to repair the damage or searching parts cars for useable sections.

No longer. Now left and right side, full two-door hardtop side roof/top rails are available in factory-matching steel reproduction form from Real Deal Steel. The rails come in pairs and fit from the rear wheel house forward to the A pillar. You can replace the whole rail or cut sections to repair spot damage.

These pieces also fit Tri-5 Pontiac Catalina two-door hardtops.

Real Deal Steel produces all-steel reproduction bodies for American Classics from the Forties, Fifties and Sixties: 1940 Ford five-window coupes, 1955-1957 Chevys, 1967-1969 Camaros and Firebirds and 1966-1967 Chevy II Nova two-door hardtops. Ford bodies are licensed by Ford Motor Company and Chevrolet bodies are licensed by GM.

The bodies are assembled in Sanford, FL, from high quality steel structural components to exact factory specifications on Real Deal Steel’s proprietary assembly fixtures that guarantee exact factory-spec fit every time.

All structural and skin assembly utilizes water-cooled 220V resistance spot welders – the same technology used in much-larger automotive assembly plants. Real Deal Steel generally uses 25 percent more spot welds than original to give the bodies added strength.

In addition to factory-original bodies, Real Deal Steel also offers modification options such as customized firewalls and mini-tub wheel housings, in addition to a wide selection of individual steel panels for American classics.

Features:

  • Factory-matching steel reproduction form
  • Come in pairs and fit from the rear wheel house forward to the A pillar
  • Made in the USA
