Real Deal Steel Introduces Seat Shells For 1955-56 Chevys

RDS shells outsideReal Deal Steel has introduced upper and lower seat shells for 1955-1956 Chevy two-door front seats that are ready for upholstery and installation. Check out the official release below.

Official Release:

Original front seat frames for 2-door 1955 and 1956 Chevys are getting harder to find and a restorable frame is often missing one or all of the exterior seat shells. But no longer does that mean scouring junk yards or piles of used parts to complete the restoration.

Real Deal Steel introduces steel upper and lower seat shells for all stock 1955 and 1956 Chevy 2-door front seats.

The shells are exact steel reproductions of the original pieces, including the correct tack strips. The shells are available as a set of four or individually.

The shells are ready for upholstery and installation.

Real Deal Steel produces all-steel reproduction bodies for American Classics from the Forties, Fifties and Sixties: 1940 Ford five-window coupes, 1955-1957 Chevys, 1967-1969 Camaros and Firebirds and 1966-1967 Chevy II Nova two-door hardtops (in early 2016).

The bodies are assembled in Sanford, FL, from high quality steel structural components to exact factory specifications on Real Deal Steel’s proprietary assembly fixtures that guarantee exact factory-spec fit every time.

All structural and skin assembly utilizes water-cooled 220V resistance spot welders – the same technology used in much-larger automotive assembly plants. Real Deal Steel generally uses 25 percent more spot welds than original to give the bodies added strength.

In addition to factory-original bodies, Real Deal Steel also offers modification options such as customized firewalls and mini-tub wheel housings, in addition to a wide selection of individual steel panels for American classics.
