Owned by Long Beach, California resident Jim Cirivello, this 1959 Chevy Impala is the epitome of 1960s hot rod culture.

Bought brand new by Cirivello from Beach City Chevy, this gorgeous Impala has undergone quite the transformation in the name of traditional style, compliments of Dick “Peep” Jackson, owner of Dick’s Custom Shop. A former employee of Barris Kustoms, Jackson started his own custom car shop in 1958- taking on Cirivello’s Impala as one of its early projects.

At Dick’s Custom Shop, Cirivello’s Impala was equipped with blue anodized headlight bezels, a 1954 Chevy grille bar with added teeth, and four shortened 1959 Cadillac taillights tacked onto either side of the rear end.

The car’s hood was dechromed compliments of Jackson, while Kolor Kromed Dodge Lancer hubcaps and Jackson’s famous spotlights were added.

To give the car its epic stance, the car was lowered four inches with lowering blocks in the rear and cut coils in the front.

Topping the build off is a 1960s-style panel paint job, complete with a Watson fade between Kandy Blue and Pearl White paint. The interior is just as striking, done in blue and white Naugahyde.
