Who needs purity when you can have more horses than you know what to do with? If you’re a drive it like you stole it kind of person, one of the latest additions to the Dallas, Texas Mecum Auction might just be right up your alley. We’re talking good ‘ole American muscle backed by over 1,000hp. Now we’re talking!
The ‘69 Camaro up for bid is far from stock. It sports a 540cui Donovan block with a BDS 8.71 blower sticking gracefully out of the hood. That bad boy pushes 900hp on 93-octane pump gas and 1,100hp on 10 pounds of boost. To transfer all that power to the pavement, the engine is matted to a billet-built TH400 transmission with a 3,800 Coan torque converter. The back of the car boasts a polished stainless steel 9-inch rear end with spline axles, while the front is equipped with a Chris Auston sub frame with polished arms.
The complete rotisserie restoration and build also brought a custom exhaust and a custom stainless steel fuel cell with stainless steel fuel lines. To stop this beast of a car, polished Wilwood brakes with stainless steel brake lines were put on the car. Finished off with an orange exterior and black interior, the whole package sits atop Weld wheels.
This Camaro is no joke and is not for the faint of heart. If you are interested in owning an American muscle car on some serious steroids, you can bid on this car at the Dallas auction on October 8th. The Camaro is set to cross the auction block at 4:25p.m. We look forward to seeing who gets to take this amazing car home.
