“I heard your ’65 can really haul some ass,” too bad the Camaro in the video is a 1969. Unfortunately, Miranda Lambert’s lyrics for the “Fastest Girl In Town” would fit another Chevrolet product a bit better since the Camaro did not hit the market until 1967, but it is hard for viewers to deny the appeal of a cute blonde, a hot brunette and some classic American muscle.
Lambert shares the spotlight and the crime with co-star Danica Patrick in the “Fastest Girl In Town” music video. Lambert and Patrick walk into a bar with the intention of committing grand theft auto. Lambert smiles at the “bad boy” owner of the Camaro to attract his attention, while Patrick saunters up to the jukebox after Lambert palms her the Camaro keys.
Within seconds Patrick disappears and so does Lambert, within seconds the Camaro owning “bad boy” notices that his ride has been jacked by a couple of girls. His F150 driving buddy attempts to chase down the 350 CID powered Camaro; during the pursuit the local police get involved and end up arresting the boys in the truck while the female felons escape.
Once the girls pull into a garage that seems to house the goods belonging to a Gone In Sixty Seconds inspired theft ring or a classic muscle chop shop, they exit the car and head out for a beer. Despite the lyrics fitting a ’65 Mustang better, Lambert and Patrick look great with the Camaro leaving Ford fans to salivate over Toby Keith’s oversized Ford Truck.
