The wheels of government move slowly, but with enough patience, sometimes you get the result you hoped for… We’re happy to announce that the very popular FAST LSXR 102mm manifold [2] has passed California Air Resources Board testing and has been issued Executive Order number D-279-7, making it street legal for the entire US of A. All three LSXR 102mm part numbers are covered – 146102 for LS3/L76/L92/L99 rectangular port applications, 146202 for LS7 raised port engines, and 146302 for good old cathedral-port LS1/LS2/LS6 powerplants.
These intakes feature a 102mm throttle body opening, though they are compatible with 90/82mm throttle bodies as well, and OEM 75mm LS1/2/6 throttle bodies when the PN 146029 adapter kit is used. When paired with a FAST 102mm Big Mouth throttle body, gains of as much as 16 horsepower on a stock-displacement engine are possible, but big-cube applications are where this manifold really shines.
The modular design of the FAST LSXR intake means that the individual runners can be ported or modified for racing applications – needless to say, this voids the EO number, but for street use where emissions are a concern, the straight-out-of-the-box manifold will provide a big bump in performance.
