If you’re looking for some bare-knuckle drag racing battles then you won’t want to miss the Shakedown At The Summit 15 when it kicks off at Summit Motorsports Park in Norwalk, Ohio September 15-17. This extravaganza of horsepower is going to be packed with everything from Pro Mods to insane small-tire racing all weekend long. When the Shakedown was moved to Summit Motorsports Park in 2013 from Old Bridge Township Raceway Park it gave this event a new lease on life. The Bader family has worked on making the Shakedown At The Summit one of the premiere heads-up racing events in the country, and the outstanding Summit Motorsports Park facility and cool fall temperatures make this one of the fastest events in the sport.

Radial vs The World will be making its first appearance at the Shakedown this year and it promises to bring the quickest radial tire cars in the country to Summit Motorsports Park. All of the biggest names in this top tier small-tire class are going to battle it out for the $10,000 payout and bragging rights.

What makes the Shakedown At The Summit one of the most unique events in Pro Mod racing is the 24-car battle royale that is run the full quarter-mile. There will be plenty of five-second passes being made as racers try to win the $40,000 that goes to the event champion. Another bonus is the Money Shot that allows a Pro Mod racer to earn another $5,000 by being the quickest car on the property.

Summit Motorsports Park is all about giving their racers the best possible experience, so to give them the surface necessary to get it after it, Kurt Johnson and Total Venue Concepts will be doing the track prep. Johnson will work with the outstanding Summit Motorsports Park staff to ensure there is plenty of grip for all classes. To make the event run and sound even better, Lee Sebring will be announcing all the action at the Shakedown At The Summit 15.

The fans will have a great time at the Shakedown as they can walk through the pits and interact with their favorite drivers while enjoying some of that world-famous Summit Motorsports Park $1-per-pound Velvet ice cream. There will also be a manufacturers’ midway packed with amazing vendors for fans, and racers to check out.
