eBay Find of the Day: Sick Blown ’62 Corvette Roadster Up for Bid

When it comes to cutting up a Corvette roadster, some could see it as sack religious. While we can’t say we blame the individuals with that idea, sometimes the little Corvette can be turned into one mean machine! Point in case, this roadster with a huge blower sticking out of the hood. If something that unique sounds like something that’d be right up your alley, we’ve got an eBay find you might like.

The car for sale is a blown ‘62 Corvette. If it looks familiar, that’s because this car has been featured in countless magazine articles, on magazine covers and was even used as General Motors’ 2002 calendar car. The Corvette was also the feature vehicle of a 2005 Barrett-Jackson auction where its image was used for publicity.

The roadster has undergone a complete restoration, right down to the nuts and bolts and sits on a Camaro sub-frame with the rear normal halfback set up by Westbury Hotrods. Noticeably towering over the hood is a blown 468cui big block built by Rex Hutchinson with a Crower camshaft, Wieland intake and blower, Holly carburetor and 8.5:1 Venolia pistons. Pushing all the power the engine has to offer to the pavement is a 2-speed, power-glide transmission with a TPI 2,800 converter.

The custom front suspension built by Fat Man Enterprises consists of A-arms, 2-inch dropped spindles and Koni shocks. The front is also fitted with 11-inch GM brakes. The rear suspension was built by Jim Gomes and includes a Summer Bros. axel, Koni four-link coilover and a Ford 9-inch, Detroit Locker rear end with 4.11 gears.

The uniqueness of the Corvette doesn’t stop at the exterior. The interior of the car is fitted with Austrian cream leather upholstery and camel hair carpet. The whole ride sits atop a set of custom Billet Specialty wheels and is finished in Roman Red paint.

While it may not win you points at a show for being the most original Corvette, this roadster is sure to gain plenty of attention. If you’re interested in bidding on this unique roadster, you can do so through October 11th. But be ready to pay a hefty price for it, the car can be bought for $120,000.

What do you think about the Corvette – sack religious or awesomeness?
