eBay Find Of The Day: 1971 Chevelle SS Custom Show Car

You always hear stories about somebody beating a car to death then putting it on eBay for top dollar. It’s enough to make you worried about buying a car on eBay.

For all the nasty stories you hear, there are always a couple of really great finds on the eBay motors site as well. We found one of those really special cars.

By 1971 the Chevrolet Chevelle had earned it’s reputation as one as one of Chevrolet’s most popular nameplates. Chevelle’s SS model sales suffered though, mainly because of heavy insurance surcharges. The Chevelle SS was a monster muscle machine and insurance companies knew that and wanted to make sure that SS owners paid for that.

As a result, the 1971 Chervolet Chevelle SS models are highly prized by muscle car fanatics. Add some modern technology and styling to this collector car and you get a custom show car that is respected by all.

We found such a car. Decked out with Air Ride suspension complete with Ride Tech front and rear anti roll bars, A-arms and shockwave shocks, this SS has a ride that the Chevrolet designers could not have imagined back in the day.
