Up for sale now on eBay is this super cool ’69 Camaro Pace Car convertible, yes its one of the original 3,675 pace cars produced by GM.
Duffy’s Collector Cars is the seller, they have been in the collector car business for 30 years and they encourage you to come see the car for yourself or call them if you want more information on this rare opportunity.
This Pace Car has the correct 300 horsepower, 350 cubic inch small block with its factory four speed transmission and 3:42 10 bolt posi traction rear end. It also has the optional console gauge package, tilt wheel, disc brakes, and air conditioning!
This is a very well optioned car, especially the drop top with A/C. The cowl tag verifies that its the real deal, and this one has been restored and looks to be a nice number two condition driver.
Definitely a wise choice if your looking for an investment quality muscle car, or if you just want to own one of the rarest ’69 Camaro’s that were built.
When Chevrolet produced the Pace Cars it was hit or miss, some of the cars sold as soon as they hit the showroom floor and others sat on the lot for many months, probably due to the fact that the pace car option alone was $3,700 above the base model and they were all painted Dover white, with that “love it or hate it” orange houndstooth interior.
If hindsight is 20/20 then this is one ugly duckling that definitely turned swan as far as the collector car world is concerned. Check it out before its too late as they are seldom up for grabs.
