There are certain marks in U.S. history that define us as a nation. The Declaration of Independence, the Civil War, World War II, and the creation of the ’57 Bel Air. All right, we’re going overboard a bit on that, but when people worldwide spot a ’57 Chevy, “U.S.A.” comes to mind quickly whether they be car fans or not.
The prisitince example that you see here is one we recently found on eBay. It’s an Canyon Coral ’57 Bel Air with a white top, and with just 19,100 miles on it it’s still wearing it’s factory paint!
The little 283 remains unmolested under the hood and is backed by the factory Powerglide 2-speed automatic transmission. It’s even still wearing the factory shocks. On the inside the car is just as original and appears to have been heavily optioned.
The Wonderbar radio is still in place and works without issue, it’s equipped with the factory rear seat speaker compass, has the vacuum ashtray, the tissue dispenser, and the very rare optional halo mirror.
While the gearhead in us sees this as the “perfect” platform to build a car from, the historian in us realizes that this car is far to valuable a piece of history to mess with.
We hope that the new owner keeps her in present condition and will run her to shows for people to see and enjoy for years to come!
