When Dakota Digital introduced their digital vacuum fluorescent display (VFD) instruments, it was the must-have item for many street rodders and hot rodders alike. The teal and blue lighted displays were a huge success with easy to read instrumentation and a cool look that was unlike anything else out there in the automotive aftermarket.
When their VHX instrumentation was introduced, they combined the great custom look of an analog instrument with the reliability and accuracy of a digital input. These gauges also added LED back lighting to the gauges with LCD message centers to provide better visibility in all lighting conditions, day or night.
But the digital world doesn’t stop there for Dakota Digital, as their line of electronic modules and accessories provide the enthusiast with just about anything they need for their vehicle. The Buss Interface Modules (BIM) allow additional functions to the LCD message centers to include cylinder head temperatures, transmission shift indicators, compass, and air/fuel ratio, to name a few.
If you’re looking for those fancy showing-off accessories, like remote control for door locks, power windows, raising tonneau covers or trunk lids, cruise control, or even to automatically lock and unlock your doors on nearly any classic automobile, Dakota Digital has what you need. Their linear actuators provide 110 lbs. of force to lift or lower amp racks, lids, or covers and the ten function remote control will allow you to show off with the push of a button.
Many of these modules and accessories allow adding modern conveniences like cruise control to your street rod or musclecar. If you’re adding nitrous or boost, they provide the necessary pressure sensors to keep track of vital statistics.
When you hear Dakota Digital and think they’re just another pretty face, think again because they also offer so much more to accessories and monitor your vehicle that we have only scratched the surface.
