There are some people who say that the popularity of cookie-cutter NASCAR style racing has completely taken over the motorsports scene in the United States, but if you know where to look, there is plenty of variety and excitement at all levels of competition. One perfect example is the Crane Cams V8 Stock Car Road Racing Series, where very different sorts of hardware, from SCCA GT1 and GT2 cars to Super Late Models compete on legendary tracks like Sebring, Daytona, and Road Atlanta.
With rounds already completed at Sebring, Palm Beach International Raceway, Carolina Motorsports Park, and Daytona, the series goes into their summer break, starting up again the weekend of August 18-19 at Charlotte Motor Speedway, then continuing to Homestead-Miami, Roebling Road Raceway, and finally finishing up at Road Atlanta at the very beginning of November.
