The Food Lion AutoFair held at the Charlotte Motor Speedway has been occurring every year since 1977. It has blossomed into one of the east coast’s largest classic car gatherings. Car enthusiasts can show up at the speedway to buy and sell classic cars, meet with vendors, and attend the annual flea market to find that rare part to finish their restoration project. Approximately 150,000 people in attendance is expected over the four day event in the Spring and Fall.
Held twice a year, the upcoming Food Lion AutoFair fall’s event scheduled for Aug. 25-28 will have another attraction for Chevrolet enthusiasts that shouldn’t be ignored. According to WhoWon.com, The 100th anniversary of Chevrolet exhibit will be at the fall Food Lion AutoFair’s fall event.
The exhibit will feature some of the most influential models and innovations from throughout the company’s history. Cars showcased in the Chevrolet display at the Food Lion AutoFair, among other vehicles, a 1917 V8, 1954 3100 pickup, 1955 Utility Sedan, 1957 Bel Air, 1962 Impala SS and 2011 ZR1 Corvette.
Just pure speculation, but we wouldn’t be surprised if a ZL1 Camaro made an appearance there either.
