Thanks to impressive technological advancements over the last several years, the once unheralded and under-appreciated torque converter now finds itself as a legitimate challenger to the clutch combination in even the most extreme of drag racing applications, and one of the companies that has been pushing to the top is ATI Performance Products.

ATI Performance Products recently teamed up with powerTV to promote their full line of products, and in an upcoming update on our Project MaxStreet ’66 Chevy II, we’ll highlight the use of one of their supercharged dampers on our ProCharger-fed Musi/Edelbrock 555 big block. “powerTV has a lot of great content that I read myself, and because we’re all just your typical automotive enthusiasts at the end of the day, we tend to shift our business in the direction of what we might read ourselves.
